Special A

I read a manga from the last few days called Special A by Maki Minami. It is quite interesting and the art for it is pretty amazing too. For those otaku's out there, you may have read the blurb at the very least. This book come in a series which  EVERYONE in the library finds and takes, leaving none left. Well it's really interesting. The characters has a lot of flaws and that is what i like because flawless characters has no life, they are boring and is too stupid.

In Special A or S.A.  is a book that tells of some complications in both love and rivalries. You can see everybody's lives are complicated and there are some things that people can hold extremely dear which is tremendously fragile and can break by one word or action. This series has the themes of love, secrets, rivals, opposites and the meaning of life.

In this book, I find it hard to believe that people with power has problems. Well, I think that is because I have never seen anyone who have money and power make flaws. I guess that is just a prejudice look on the world because I have read that people with power has to be looked up to so that is why they seem flawless and perfect in any way. Well in this book, there are 2 main characters, Kei who is always placed first on exams and everything who comes from a prodigious family and Hikari who comes from a carpenters family places 2nd every test. While Kei is in love with every aspect of Hikari, Hikari remain oblivious of his feeling for her until chapter 45. As usual, this is a manga technique which is cliche but what I actually like about this series is that it's just a cute story. Somehow with a Romeo and Juliet scene in every 20 chapters or so, but i like it because it ends in a very happy ending. There is technically no morals in this story but it is just a heart-warming story which I really love instead of disasters and sadness and tragedies.

The plot, wasn't that good now that I think about it. It's really cliche and boring. Maybe I liked it because I didn't need to read about death in every chapter. The book I am currently reading is Night. Another WW2 book. Maybe because I was looking for a way to get out of sadness of death, I started reading a book without a specific plot to it. O_o weird...
