Before I fall is a pretty depressing book. A teenager who gets killed in a drunk driving incident gets to relive the day which she died on for as long as she wants until she is fully content with the end of her life. It is a really sad type of story in a way because she was the typical type of high-schooler who was in a side popular but was also very insecure. Doing what friends to, she the main character, Sam, happens to follow her friends and what they do to become popular. Being vain and greedy for attentions, these acts would always have their consequences. Which in their case would be the death of her. I can't explain it in an appropriate way of how Sam Kingston acts and what she does. If inappropriately saying, she would be the so called "female dog of the school".
I technically felt myself not liking the story very much. Technically, I didn't like it much at all until she realizes that the end was actually no that bad. She finally realizes that she was such a "female dog" in the sorry before her death. And rather than reliving her last day eternally, Sam Kingston sacrifices herself for her friend in the end and dies the way others say "without regrets". It was a little emotional in the end and that's the only thing I liked about the book. Without the ending, I would have felt this book to be worthless and would not have much meaning to it.
I think this is an interesting book. I might want to read it but what would you want the ending to be like? What don't you like about the ending?
ReplyDeleteIf you don't like this book, maybe you should post about books that you do like. I find that people who like their books go more in depth with their posts, and you could use that. Good job, though.
ReplyDeleteLILA STOP BEING SO CRITICAL!

I like this post. I think you should make it better by:
ReplyDelete1/ Remove spoilers (I think there are spoilers)
2/ Since you only like the ending, what parts do you hate in the story and why?
3/What would you want to be changed in the book and why?
4/Explain why didn't you like the story/book and what don't you like about it?
